American Head Charge – Just So You Know (Mercury)
Andy Law The latest victims to experience the joys of Rick Rubin’s knob twiddling, in debut album The War Of Art, American Head Charge delivered one of metal’s grandest moments of the past year. Coming on like a cross between thrash metal legends Slayer and their own unique blend of modern metal (technological whiz, plenty of keys, dynamic time changes and constantly varying tempos), and its almost an insult to brand them a nu-metal band. As the sweepingly melodic chorus of Just So You Know, their debut UK single proves, American Head Charge are so much more than that. Verdict - @@@@@ |
