Tim Perry
Tim Perry lives in
Sydney, Australia, having emigrated
from England at the age of four. He
has been an avid classaholic since his
early teens and spent much of his youth
playing the euphonium in brass and concert
bands, and singing with various choirs.
He is now a practising solicitor and
a non-practising musician, although
he often wishes that the reverse were
the case. He consoles himself by listening
to classical music, both live and recorded,
whenever the opportunity arises. Like
most brass players, he is devoted to
Mahler, but he enjoys listening to just
about anything, from medieval plainchant
to the works of contemporary neo-romantics
and post minimalists. Tim continues
to sing with Bassment, a male a capella
quartet of which he has been a member
since 1996. He is married to Amy, a
high school drama teacher and Shakespeare
enthusiast.
